Human UBQLN2/Ubiquilin-2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this ELISA kit is designed for the quantification of Ubiquilin-2 (UBQLN2) in human serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants, with additional compatibility for tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. UBQLN2 is a key protein involved in protein quality control and degradation pathways, and its dysregulation has been implicated in neurodegenerative conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer's disease, making the kit a relevant tool for research into these disorders and potential therapeutic targets.

The kit is available in two formats. The sandwich ELISA format reports a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.64 ng/mL. Recovery in serum (n=5) is 80–102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–100% averaging 90%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% averaging 84%. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions falls within 79–104% depending on matrix. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV <10% and inter-assay precision as CV <12%, with stability showing less than 5% loss of activity within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions.

The competitive ELISA format reports a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 34 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 10.2%. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions ranges from 84–118% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery in serum averages 97% (range 91–103%) and in plasma averages 99% (range 93–105%).
