Human Ubiquitin Carboxyl Terminal Hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of Ubiquitin Carboxyl Terminal Hydrolase L1 (UCHL1), a ~25 kDa neuron-enriched deubiquitinating enzyme also referred to as PGP9.5, in human specimens. UCHL1 is under active investigation as a circulating biomarker for traumatic brain injury and contributes to disease mechanisms in Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative disorders.

Validated for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, the kit supports neuroscience and oncology research workflows where UCHL1 quantification is needed. In neuronal systems, this enzyme participates in ubiquitin recycling and protein turnover, and altered UCHL1 expression has been reported in several tumor types including colorectal and pancreatic cancers. The kit provides reagents for 96 assays and uses an absorbance-based readout compatible with standard microplate equipment.
