The UBE2D1 target (Ubiquitin-Conjugating Enzyme E2 D1, alternatively named UBC4, UBCH5, or UBCH5A) is a ~16.6 kDa E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that cooperates with E3 ligases such as MDM2 and CHIP to transfer ubiquitin onto substrate proteins. Quantitative measurement of UBE2D1 supports studies in oncology, cell-cycle regulation, and proteasome pathway biology, including p53 turnover and stress-response signaling.
