Description

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 1 (PTPN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. PTPN1, also known as Protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP-1B), is a non-receptor phospho-tyrosine protein phosphatase that regulates cell signaling pathways governing cell growth, differentiation, and immune response, and has been implicated in cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders.

Using a colorimetric detection method with human reactivity, the kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human PTPN1 (UniProt P18031). It is classified under the epigenetics research area and is intended for research use only.

According to the manufacturer, the detection range is 1.56-100ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.9% and inter-assay CV is 7.2%. Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma. Linearity has been validated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum (range 91-116%), EDTA plasma (range 83-107%), and heparin plasma (range 95-122%). PTPN1 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and acts as a regulator of the unfolded protein response, mediating dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK and interacting with EPHA3 and MET.
