Description

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate quantification of Tyrosine-protein kinase Tec (TEC) protein levels in human samples, using a colorimetric detection method. Reactive with human samples and intended for research use only, the kit supports studies in the signal transduction research area.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay delivers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.076ng/mL. Precision data report an Intra CV of 5.8% and an Inter CV of 9.3%. Recovery has been demonstrated at an average of 107% (range 101-113%) in serum and 109% (range 103-115%) in plasma. Linearity has been validated in serum (range 86-119%), EDTA plasma (range 91-118%), and heparin plasma (range 87-115%) across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. The kit is suited to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Tyrosine-protein kinase Tec (UniProt P42680; synonym PSCTK4).

TEC is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that contributes to signaling from many receptors and acts as a signal transducer in multiple downstream pathways, including regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. The protein participates in the adaptive immune response, B-cell receptor signaling, mast cell function, myeloid cell growth and differentiation, platelet signaling, and hepatocyte proliferation. Dysregulation of TEC activity has been associated with several diseases, making it a target of interest for research into pathological conditions and potential therapeutic development.
