Human Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor Tie-1 (TIE1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of human Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor Tie-1 (TIE1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The kit shows a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.079ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%. It is specific for natural and recombinant human Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor Tie-1.

Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions in serum (N=5), EDTA plasma (N=5) and heparin plasma (N=5), and recovery in serum averages 102% (range 96-108%) while plasma averages 104% (range 98-110%). TIE-1 is a transmembrane tyrosine-protein kinase that may modulate TEK/TIE2 activity and contribute to the regulation of angiogenesis, functioning as a heterodimer with TEK/TIE2 and localised to the cell membrane as a single-pass type I membrane protein. The protein plays a critical role in angiogenesis and blood vessel stability by inhibiting angiopoietin 1 signaling through the endothelial receptor tyrosine kinase Tie2, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and inflammatory conditions.
