Human Tyrosine-protein kinase Mer (MERTK) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tyrosine-protein kinase Mer (MERTK) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human MERTK and has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL.

Reported precision is Intra CV of 4.2% and Inter CV of 8.2%. Linearity in serum (n=5) spans 90–100% at 1:2 to 105–114% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranges 81–91% to 91–103%; heparin plasma (n=5) ranges 96–106% to 91–101%. Spike recovery averages 89% for serum (range 83–95%) and 91% for plasma (range 85–97%).

MERTK is a receptor tyrosine kinase that transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to ligands including LGALS3, TUB, TULP1, and GAS6, regulating cell survival, migration, differentiation, and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells (efferocytosis). The target is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt Q12866) associated with the neurosciences research area. For research use only.
