The kit is intended for research use only and targets the human Tyrosine-protein kinase CSK, also known by the synonyms C-Src kinase and Protein-tyrosine kinase CYL.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.43ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been validated in serum (N=5) ranging from 97-106% at 1:2 dilution to 97-109% at 1:16, in EDTA plasma (N=5) from 84-94% to 83-93%, and in heparin plasma (N=5) from 109-119% to 91-102%. Recovery averages 89% (range 83-95%) for serum and 91% (range 85-97%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Tyrosine-protein kinase CSK and is applicable to the signal transduction research area.

Tyrosine protein kinase CSK is a non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase that plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune response. It phosphorylates tyrosine residues located in the C-terminal tails of Src-family kinases (SFKs) including LCK, SRC, HCK, FYN, LYN, and YES1, and suppresses signaling by various surface receptors, including T-cell receptor (TCR) and B-cell receptor (BCR).
