Description

Designed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human TYRO protein tyrosine kinase-binding protein (TYROBP), also known by the synonyms DNAX-activation protein 12, DAP12, KARAP, and killer-activating receptor-associated protein. The assay is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and demonstrates specificity for natural and recombinant human TYROBP.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 6.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Recovery in serum averages 100% (range 94-106%) and in plasma averages 102% (range 96-108%). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 is reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices.

TYROBP is a single-pass type I membrane protein that forms a disulfide-linked homodimer and non-covalently associates with activating receptors of the CD300 family. Cross-linking of CD300-TYROBP complexes leads to cellular activation, and the protein contributes to integrin-mediated neutrophil activation. It participates in protein tyrosine kinase signaling, immune response regulation, and neuronal function, and its dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. The kit is for research use only.
