Assay Genie's TXNDC4 ELISA Kit is built on a sandwich immunoassay architecture and uses a human-specific capture antibody selective for human ERp44 (TXNDC4) to quantify endogenous TXNDC4, also known as ERp44, the 44 kDa endoplasmic reticulum resident thioredoxin-related protein, in human serum and plasma. ERp44 participates in ER quality control through thiol-mediated retention of misfolded clients, including Ero1α, IP3 receptors, and immunoglobulin assembly intermediates, making this assay relevant to studies of oxidative protein folding, calcium signaling, and B-cell antibody production.
