Human TXB2 (Thromboxane B2) ELISA Kit (HUFI04738)

Thromboxane B2 (TXB2) is the stable, inactive hydrolysis product of Thromboxane A2, a short-lived eicosanoid released by activated platelets during thrombosis and vascular injury. Measuring TXB2 provides a robust surrogate readout of in vivo TXA2 biosynthesis, supporting research into platelet activation, aspirin responsiveness, and eicosanoid signalling in cardiovascular and inflammatory disease.

This Assay Genie kit uses a competitive immunoassay architecture with an antigen-pre-coated microplate and a colorimetric readout, supplied with reagents for 96 Assays. The protocol accommodates small-volume samples, and indomethacin is commonly added during collection to suppress ex vivo platelet-derived TXB2 formation.

Validated for research use only, the assay is applied across haemostasis, atherosclerosis, pulmonary hypertension, and oncology studies where thromboxane pathways are implicated. Reagent components are stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C, protected from light, and should not undergo repeated freeze-thaw cycles once diluted.
