Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6 (FAS) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6 (FAS) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Also known by the synonyms Apo-1 antigen, Apoptosis-mediating surface antigen FAS, FASLG receptor, CD95, APT1, FAS1 and TNFRSF6, FAS is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily that acts as the receptor for TNFSF6/FASLG and regulates apoptosis through a death-inducing signalling complex involving FADD and caspase-8.

The assay offers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 24pg/mL. Reported precision values are 3.6% intra-assay CV and 6.8% inter-assay CV. The kit has been validated for linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5). Across all dilutions, serum ranged from 88-108%, EDTA plasma from 86-117% and heparin plasma from 93-120%. Mean recovery is 95% for serum (range 89-101%) and 97% for plasma (range 91-103%).

Specificity covers natural and recombinant human FAS (UniProt P25445, molecular weight 37,732 Da), and the kit is intended for research use only within the Neurosciences research area.
