Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11A (TNFRSF11A), also referenced by synonyms including RANK, CD265, ODFR, Osteoclast differentiation factor receptor, and Receptor activator of NF-KB. It is reactive with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant human TNFRSF11A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay employs a sandwich ELISA detection method with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 5.2% and inter-assay CV at 8.2%. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions in serum (N=5), EDTA plasma (N=5) and heparin plasma (N=5), and recovery in serum averages 97% (range 91-103) while recovery in plasma averages 99% (range 93-105).

TNFRSF11A acts as the receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL/TRANCE/OPGL and is essential for RANKL-mediated osteoclastogenesis, while also regulating interactions between T-cells and dendritic cells. The receptor binds the clefts between the subunits of the TNFSF11 ligand trimer to form a heterohexamer and interacts with TRAF1, TRAF2, TRAF3, TRAF5, TRAF6 and, via its cytoplasmic domain, with GAB2. The product is supplied for research use only and supports investigations in immunology and related disease research.
