Description

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise quantification of human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10A (TNFRSF10A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses colorimetric detection and is reactive with human samples. The target is also known by the synonyms Death receptor 4, TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand receptor 1, TRAIL receptor 1, CD261, APO2, DR4 and TRAILR1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Specificity is described for both natural and recombinant human TNFRSF10A. Dilutional linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported for serum (average 99%, range 93-105%) and plasma (average 101%, range 95-107%).

TNFRSF10A is a single-pass type I membrane protein that acts as a receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL. Ligand binding leads to recruitment of the adapter molecule FADD and caspase-8, forming the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) that initiates the caspase cascade mediating apoptosis, and the receptor also promotes activation of NF-kappa-B. Dysregulation of TNFRSF10A has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions, supporting its relevance within immunology research. The product is intended for research use only.
