The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and measures TNFSF11 across a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. Reported precision figures include an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant human TNFSF11, annotated under UniProt O14788, a homotrimeric cytokine that binds TNFRSF11B/OPG and TNFRSF11A/RANK.

Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with recovery averaging 93% for serum and 95% for plasma.
