Human TTPAL/Alpha-tocopherol transfer protein-like ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a competitive ELISA, coated with antigen, for the quantitative measurement of human TTPAL (Alpha-tocopherol transfer protein-like), a protein related to alpha-tocopherol transfer protein (TTPA), which participates in the transport and regulation of vitamin E. The kit is positioned within the signal transduction research area and is suited to studies of vitamin E metabolism and cellular antioxidant defence mechanisms.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity (n=10) across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was reported at 88-101%, 88-101%, 89-104% for serum; 84-101%, 85-101%, 84-96% for EDTA plasma; and 88-100%, 84-96%, 89-95% for heparin plasma. Average recovery values were 99% for serum (range 89-104%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 85-104%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 86-99%).

The procedure involves adding 50 µL of standard or sample and 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody per well, incubating at 37°C for 45 minutes, washing five times, developing with TMB substrate at 37°C for 10-20 minutes in the dark, adding stop solution, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
