Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase, cytoplasmic (WARS). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.321-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.183 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is given as 8.1% and inter-assay CV as 10.2%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Tryptophan--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic, which is also known by the synonyms Interferon-induced protein 53, TrpRS, IFI53, IFP53, and WRS (UniProt P23381). Linearity and recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase is a cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyses the attachment of tryptophan to tRNA during protein biosynthesis. It belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family and is implicated in cellular processes including angiogenesis and regulation of gene expression. For research use only.
