Human Tryptase beta-2 (TPSB2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human tryptase beta-2 (TPSB2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses colorimetric detection and has been validated for natural and recombinant human Tryptase beta-2, with reactivity confirmed for human samples. It is intended for research use only and supports applications in cell biology and the study of immune and inflammatory processes.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL. Intra-assay and inter-assay precision are reported as 4.7% and 8.4% CV respectively. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples at multiple dilutions, with recovery averaging 91% (range 85-97%) in serum and 93% (range 87-99%) in plasma.

Tryptase beta-2 is the major neutral protease present in mast cells and is secreted upon mast cell activation and degranulation. It may play a role in innate immunity and has been implicated as a mediator in the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic and inflammatory disorders, making it a biomarker of interest for related research.
