Human Tryptase alpha/beta-1 (TPSAB1) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Tryptase alpha/beta-1 (TPSAB1), also known as Tryptase I, Tryptase alpha-1, Tryptase-1, TPS1, TPS2 and TPSB1. Tryptase is the major neutral protease present in mast cells, where it is secreted upon coupled activation-degranulation and may play a role in innate immunity, making TPSAB1 a widely studied marker in allergic and inflammatory responses such as asthma, eczema and allergic rhinitis.

The kit uses a sandwich ELISA detection method and is validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.06 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.1%, an inter-assay CV of 7.9%, and specificity for natural and recombinant human Tryptase alpha/beta-1. Linearity in serum at serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) is 97-107%, 110-120%, 109-120% and 106-116%, with corresponding ranges in EDTA plasma of 90-100%, 97-105%, 102-112% and 96-108%. Average recovery is 102% (range 96-108%) in serum and 104% (range 98-110%) in plasma. The kit is supplied with components for storage at -20 degrees C and 4 degrees C as detailed in the enclosed kit insert, and is intended for research use only.
