This enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Assay Genie is configured for the quantitative measurement of human TRPC6 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel, subfamily C, member 6), a receptor-operated, calcium-permeable non-selective cation channel expressed in podocytes, vascular smooth muscle, cardiomyocytes, and pulmonary endothelium. TRPC6 has attracted sustained research interest because gain-of-function mutations and channel overexpression are mechanistically linked to focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, hereditary steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and pathological cardiac hypertrophy, making protein-level quantification an important readout in renal, vascular, and cardiovascular studies.

The kit is supplied at 96 Assays and is intended strictly for in vitro research use only, accommodating standard study designs in human biology laboratories. Each shipment includes the reagents required for standard curve generation, sample incubation, and detection, and is dispatched under refrigerated cold-chain conditions to preserve antibody binding activity. Unopened components should be kept refrigerated and protected from light until first use, and reconstituted reagents should be handled according to the lot-specific datasheet supplied with the kit.

By providing a plate-based format compatible with standard absorbance plate readers, the assay supports both small exploratory experiments and larger patient cohort work. Because TRPC6 protein abundance often diverges from transcript-level changes in disease models, protein-level quantification with this immunoassay complements gene-expression profiling and functional electrophysiology readouts commonly used in ion-channel research.
