Human Troponin T, cardiac muscle (TNNT2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human cardiac troponin T (TNNT2), the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex that confers calcium sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. The assay uses a colorimetric readout and accepts human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant human TNNT2. Performance figures quoted by the manufacturer include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 11 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Mean recovery is 91% (range 85-97%) in serum and 93% (range 87-99%) in plasma, with linearity validated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Recommended for signal transduction research, the kit is for research use only. TNNT2 is a critical cardiac protein commonly used as a biomarker for myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases, and the corresponding UniProt entry is P45379.
