Human Troponin I Type 2, Fast Skeletal (TNNI2) ELISA Kit

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables measurement of human Troponin I Type 2, Fast Skeletal (TNNI2) protein in research samples. TNNI2 encodes the fast-twitch isoform of skeletal muscle troponin I, an inhibitory subunit of the troponin complex that regulates calcium-dependent actomyosin cross-bridge cycling during striated muscle contraction. Investigators studying inherited neuromuscular disorders, including distal arthrogryposis type 2B (Sheldon-Hall syndrome) caused by TNNI2 mutations, apply this kit to quantify protein expression in cell culture models of myogenesis and in tissue biopsy specimens.

The microplate-based protocol accepts serum, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, supporting workflows in muscle physiology, biomarker validation, and sports medicine research on exercise-induced skeletal muscle damage.
