Built for in vitro research use, the TRERF1 ELISA kit from Assay Genie supplies a complete set of immunoassay reagents configured around a pre-coated microplate for the quantitative measurement of human TRERF1 protein. TRERF1, also referenced as TReP-138, is a zinc-finger DNA-binding transcriptional regulator best known for binding the CYP19A1 promoter, where it modulates aromatase activity and downstream estrogen biosynthesis. Investigators working on hormone-responsive cancers, endometriosis, adipogenesis, and osteoblast differentiation rely on TRERF1 readouts to link transcriptional control to phenotypic outcomes in cell culture and tissue samples.

The kit is provided as separate components, including the pre-coated plate, detection antibody, calibrator proteins, enzyme conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent, sufficient to perform the stated number of determinations. Specimens prepared from human serum, EDTA plasma, or heparin plasma are typical inputs; aliquots should be prepared after collection to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and clinical samples kept refrigerated or frozen at the laboratory until the run. Substrate reagents require protection from light during color development. The procedure follows a standard chromogenic ELISA workflow with absorbance read on a standard plate reader. Intended for research use only; not validated for diagnostic applications.
