Human TRAPA/SSR1 ELISA Kit (HUFI05975)

This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of human TRAPA, also known as SSR1 (signal sequence receptor subunit 1, or translocon-associated protein alpha). SSR1 is an integral membrane component of the rough endoplasmic reticulum that engages the Sec61 translocon during co-translational protein import into the ER lumen. Tracking TRAPA levels in human specimens informs research on ER homeostasis, secretory pathway flux, and conditions where misfolded-protein responses or translocation defects are implicated.

The immunoassay is built on paired antibodies that recognize distinct epitopes of SSR1, providing the specificity of a two-antibody binding configuration. Detection uses an enzyme-substrate reaction that yields a colored endpoint read as absorbance on a standard microplate reader; signal intensity scales with analyte concentration and is interpolated against a supplied standard curve. Each kit ships with capture plates, detection antibody, reference standards, buffers, substrate, and wash concentrate sufficient for a full plate run.

The standard workflow follows ELISA practice: dispense diluted standards and prepared human specimens, incubate, wash, add conjugate, develop substrate, and read absorbance. The microplate configuration supports high-throughput testing, with duplicates recommended for both standards and unknowns to improve precision.
