Human Transthyretin (TTR) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Transthyretin (TTR), also referred to as prealbumin, ATTR, TBPA, or PALB. The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, uses a colorimetric detection method, and is reactive with human samples.

Transthyretin is a thyroid hormone-binding protein thought to transport thyroxine from the bloodstream to the brain. It circulates as a homotetramer (dimer of dimers), is located in the cytoplasm and is secreted. Dysregulation of transthyretin has been linked to familial amyloid polyneuropathy and senile systemic amyloidosis, and monitoring transthyretin levels may support studies of disease progression and potential treatments.

The kit has a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.21ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.1% and inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Recovery in serum averages 102% (range 96-108%) and in plasma averages 104% (range 98-110%). Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human Transthyretin. For research use only.
