Human Transmembrane glycoprotein NMB (GPNMB) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Transmembrane glycoprotein NMB (GPNMB) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. It recognises both natural and recombinant human GPNMB and is intended for research use only.

GPNMB is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein (UniProt Q14956) localised to the cell membrane, melanosome membrane and early endosome membrane. The protein is involved in cell adhesion, migration and survival and has been implicated in cancer, osteoarthritis and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker in immunology research. It is annotated as a possible melanogenic enzyme within the PMEL/NMB family and, according to the NCBI summary, shows homology to the pMEL17 precursor, with expression reported in lowly metastatic human melanoma cell lines.
