Human Transketolase (TKT) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Transketolase (TKT) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Transketolase and is reactive with human samples.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery in serum averages 93% (range 87-99%) while in plasma it averages 95% (range 89-101%). Transketolase functions as a homodimer and catalyzes the transfer of a two-carbon ketol group from a ketose donor to an aldose acceptor via a covalent intermediate with the cofactor thiamine pyrophosphate, acting within the pentose phosphate pathway. Dysregulation of TKT has been linked to cancer, metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative conditions.
