Human Transforming growth factor-beta-induced protein ig-h3 (TGFBI) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Transforming growth factor-beta-induced protein ig-h3 (TGFBI). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human TGFBI and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 34 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.0%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with reported ranges of 86-94%, 98-110%, 103-111% and 101-112% for serum; 106-116%, 95-104%, 93-103% and 99-108% for EDTA plasma; and 85-94%, 100-111%, 90-100% and 98-109% for heparin plasma. Recovery is reported at an average of 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and an average of 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma.

TGFBI is a secreted extracellular matrix protein induced by transforming growth factor-beta. It binds to type I, II and IV collagens and has been implicated in cell adhesion and cell-collagen interactions. The protein is associated with the Neurosciences research area.
