Human Transforming growth factor beta-2 (TGFB2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Transforming growth factor beta-2 (TGFB2), a secreted cytokine of the TGF-beta family. The assay targets TGFB2, also known by the synonyms Cetermin, Glioblastoma-derived T-cell suppressor factor, and G-TSF, and is supplied for research use only.

The kit reports a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL for human TGFB2. It is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant human TGFB2 proprotein. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%. Spike-and-recovery testing returned an average of 97% (range 91-103) for serum and 99% (range 93-105) for plasma, and linearity has been evaluated across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

TGFB2 is a multifunctional regulator of cell growth, differentiation, angiogenesis, immune response, and heart development, signalling through TGFBR1 and TGFBR2 after release from its latent complex. The kit is commonly applied in cancer research and other areas investigating TGFB2 dysregulation.
