TGFb1 is a pleiotropic cytokine central to fibrotic disease modeling, immune regulation studies, wound healing investigations, and tumor microenvironment research, where it controls cell proliferation, extracellular matrix deposition, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Assay Genie's quantitative in vitro immunoassay for human Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 is designed to measure both active and latent TGFb1 in research specimens.

Each kit provides pre-coated microtitre plate strips, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, recombinant human TGFb1 standards, wash buffer concentrate, chromogenic substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient for 96 reactions run in duplicate. Researchers can evaluate unknown samples alongside an 8-point standard curve, with capacity for approximately 40 individual specimens per plate run.

The assay accepts cleared tissue homogenates, conditioned cell culture media, and serum or plasma fractions, with platelet-poor plasma recovered after centrifugation recommended for accurate analyte recovery. To preserve analyte integrity, samples should be aliquoted and frozen promptly after collection; storage at -80 degrees C with avoidance of repeated freeze-thaw cycles is recommended. Because TGFb1 commonly circulates as a latent complex with latency-associated peptide, acid activation with HCl followed by neutralization is typically performed before the run to release immunoreactive cytokine for accurate quantitation.

Sample concentrations are interpolated from a four- or five-parameter logistic standard curve fit. The kit is supplied in a vial-based format with components intended for research use only; the product is not validated for clinical diagnostic procedures or therapeutic monitoring in patient care.
