Transferrin is the principal iron-transport glycoprotein in circulation, and its level serves as an indicator of iron availability, hepatic synthesis capacity, and nutritional state. The kit provides 96 assays per plate and works with multiple human specimen matrices, including tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and conditioned cell culture media.

Reactivity is restricted to human transferrin, making the assay useful for clinical research, biomarker validation, and cell biology experiments that compare conditioned media against baseline donor samples.
