Human Transcription termination factor 2 (TTF2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Transcription termination factor 2 (TTF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human TTF2 and shows a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 56pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.7% and inter-assay CV is 7.6%. Dilutional linearity in serum ranged from 87-96% to 99-109% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, with comparable performance in EDTA plasma (93-105% to 101-111%) and heparin plasma (85-96% to 99-109%). Spike-and-recovery averaged 107% in serum and 109% in plasma.

TTF2 acts as a dsDNA-dependent ATPase that couples ATP hydrolysis with removal of RNA polymerase II from the DNA template, contributing to transcription termination and possibly mitotic transcription repression and pre-mRNA splicing. The protein is cytoplasmic during interphase and relocates to the nucleus as cells enter mitosis, and interacts with CDC5L as a component of the spliceosome.
