Human Transcription initiation factor TFIID subunit 1 (TAF1) ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for quantitative detection of human Transcription initiation factor TFIID subunit 1 (TAF1) in research samples. The assay is intended for research use only and uses a colorimetric detection method, with reactivity limited to human samples.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.1% and inter-assay CV is 8.5%. Dilutional linearity has been characterised in serum (range 94–117%), EDTA plasma (range 87–118%) and heparin plasma (range 80–124%) across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. Recovery is reported at 92% (range 86–98%) for serum and 94% (range 88–100%) for plasma.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant human TAF1. TAF1 is the largest component and core scaffold of the TFIID basal transcription factor complex, required for transcription initiation and gene expression regulation; the protein localises to the nucleus (UniProt P21675) and is classed in the Metabolism research area. Components should be stored at -20°C and the kit is shipped at +4°C.
