Human Transcription factor SOX-2 (SOX2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Transcription factor SOX-2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay targets SOX2, a key transcription factor involved in maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal in stem cells, as well as playing a critical role in embryonic development. Dysregulation of SOX2 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders, making the kit a useful tool for research applications in stem cell biology, cancer research, and developmental biology.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.1% and inter-assay CV is 9.4%. Linearity was evaluated in serum (107-117%, 87-96%, 87-96%, 105-114% at dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16), EDTA plasma (98-107%, 81-90%, 95-106%, 80-93%) and heparin plasma (95-106%, 82-94%, 99-109%, 103-115%). Recovery is 97% (range 91-103%) in serum and 99% (range 93-105%) in plasma.

The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human SOX2 (UniProt P48431). SOX2 localises to the nucleus, forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls expression of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206.
