Human Transcription factor Maf (MAF) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables the detection and quantification of human Transcription factor Maf (MAF), also known as Proto-oncogene c-Maf and V-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homolog, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Intended for research use only, the kit is suited to laboratories investigating transcription factor biology. Maf regulates gene expression and contributes to cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been associated with cancer, diabetes and autoimmune disorders.

The assay reports a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 32pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.5% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity was demonstrated in serum (84-117%), EDTA plasma (80-100%) and heparin plasma (86-117%) across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, while recovery averaged 107% (range 101-113%) in serum and 109% (range 103-115%) in plasma. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human MAF (UniProt O75444), a nuclear protein that functions as a transcriptional activator or repressor, with cancer as the indicated research area.
