Human Transcription Factor Binding To IGHM Enhancer 3 (TFE3) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human TFE3 protein for research applications in oncology, immunology, and cell biology. TFE3 is a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcription factor encoded on chromosome Xp11.23 that belongs to the MiT/TFE family alongside TFEB, TFEC, and MITF. The protein binds E-box DNA motifs and was originally characterized through its interaction with the immunoglobulin heavy chain mu (IGHM) intronic enhancer, where it regulates B-cell specific gene expression. In translational research, TFE3 is widely studied in the context of Xp11 translocation renal cell carcinoma and alveolar soft part sarcoma, where oncogenic fusion proteins such as ASPSCR1-TFE3 retain the DNA-binding domain and drive aberrant transcription programs. TFE3 also governs lysosomal biogenesis, autophagy initiation, and cellular responses to amino acid availability through the mTORC1 signaling axis.
