The assay recognises natural and recombinant human Transcription factor AP-1 and is suited to research applications in immunology.

The reported detection range is 1.56-100ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.98ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.4%. Reported linearity in serum spans 90-116% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, with EDTA plasma between 82-108% and heparin plasma between 89-120%. Recovery in serum averages 95% (range 89-101%) and in plasma averages 97% (range 91-103%).

c-Jun is a key component of the AP-1 transcription factor complex, which regulates gene expression in response to a broad spectrum of stimuli.
