Human Transcobalamin-2 (TCN2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is configured for the quantitative detection of human Transcobalamin-2 (TCN2), also referred to as Transcobalamin II, TC II, TC-2 or TC2. It is intended for research use only and uses a colorimetric detection method. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity reported for natural and recombinant human Transcobalamin-2.

The manufacturer reports a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Spiking recovery is shown as an average of 110% (range 104–116%) in serum and 112% (range 106–118%) in plasma. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5 per matrix), with reported recovery ranges spanning roughly 82–125% across all conditions tested.

Transcobalamin-2 is the primary vitamin B12-binding and transport protein, functioning to deliver cobalamin to cells. The kit is classified within the Signal Transduction research area, and the target protein is annotated as secreted (UniProt P20062).
