Human Transcobalamin-1 (TCN1) ELISA Kit

Transcobalamin-1, also known as Haptocorrin, Protein R, Transcobalamin I, HC, TC I, TC-1, and TC1, is a secreted vitamin B12-binding protein that binds vitamin B12 with femtomolar affinity and protects it from the acidic environment of the stomach. The kit shows a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.9pg/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Transcobalamin-1. Reported precision values are an Intra CV of 5.6% and an Inter CV of 7.7%.

Linearity has been validated for serum (104-117%), EDTA plasma (85-109%) and heparin plasma (88-120%) at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is 80% (80-86%) in serum and 82% (80-88%) in plasma. The protein has a molecular weight of 433 (UniProt: P20061) and is encoded by the TCN1 gene at chromosomal position 11q11-q12. For research use only.
