Human TRACP/PAP/ACP5 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1179)

The Assay Genie Human TRACP/PAP/ACP5 ELISA provides quantitative measurement of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase, the metalloprotein encoded by the ACP5 gene, with a working detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, using anti-human capture antibodies calibrated specifically for human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatant samples. TRACP circulates as the osteoclast-derived 5b isoform, a well-established marker of bone resorption in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease research, and as the 5a isoform associated with activated macrophages and dendritic cells. The same ACP5 locus encodes prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP), historically evaluated in prostate cancer biomarker panels and still studied as an indicator of prostate epithelial differentiation.

Each kit ships with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, and TMB substrate, supporting a standard colorimetric sandwich immunoassay workflow read on a plate reader at 450 nm. Reconstituted standards and conjugate are typically held refrigerated at 4 degrees C and protected from light, while unused strip wells should be resealed in the foil pouch with desiccant and stored dry. The assay is applied to osteoclastogenesis studies, rheumatoid bone erosion research, hairy cell leukemia cell line work, and serum biomarker validation alongside bone turnover markers such as CTX, PINP, and BALP.
