Quantify mast-cell tryptase with this ELISA-format microplate immunoassay kit from Assay Genie, targeted to the TPSAB1 gene product (tryptase alpha/beta-1). Tryptase alpha/beta-1 is the dominant serine protease stored in mast-cell granules and is a routinely used biomarker of mast-cell activation in allergy, immunology, and hematology research. Studies of anaphylaxis, systemic mastocytosis, venom immunotherapy monitoring, and perioperative hypersensitivity reactions routinely measure serum tryptase to profile mast-cell mediator release.

The microplate-based kit ships with a pre-coated plate, calibrator standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution. The colorimetric readout is captured on a standard plate reader, and a standard curve is used to interpolate unknown concentrations from cryobanked clinical specimens such as serum collected under standard venipuncture protocols. The format supports a full plate run per kit with controls and standards typically processed in duplicate. Standard workflow covers sample dilution, incubation, washing, and data reduction using the supplied template. Store kit components refrigerated upon receipt and protect the substrate from light.

Validated for in vitro research use only, this assay is routinely paired with measurements of tryptase beta-2 (TPSAB2), carboxypeptidase A3 (CPA3), histamine, and prostaglandin D2 to map mast-cell activity. Compatible with archived biobank specimens from clinical allergy and hematology cohorts.
