Human Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric detection method, with optical density read at 450 nm on a micro-plate reader.

The kit detects natural and recombinant human TLR8, also known by the synonym CD288, which is a single-pass type I membrane protein encoded on chromosome Xp22. It works within a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and has a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. TLR8 is a key component of innate and adaptive immunity, acting via MYD88 and TRAF6 to trigger NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.
