Human Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in research samples, supporting investigations in immunology and inflammation. The kit is reactive with human specimens and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, with specificity toward both natural and recombinant human TLR4.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Precision is reported at an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Linearity has been assessed across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery ranges from 100-112% in serum (average 106%) and 102-114% in plasma (average 108%).

TLR4 functions as part of the innate immune system, cooperating with LY96 and CD14 to recognize bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and to trigger NF-kappa-B activation and inflammatory cytokine release via MYD88, TIRAP, and TRAF6.
