Toll-Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) is a transmembrane pattern-recognition receptor of the innate immune system that senses bacterial lipoproteins, peptidoglycan, and lipoteichoic acid, and quantitative analysis of its expression in human specimens is enabled by the Assay Genie Human TLR2 ELISA Kit. Researchers apply this plate-based immunoassay to investigate inflammation, sepsis, autoimmune disease, mucosal immunity, and host-pathogen interaction studies across immunology, infectious-disease, and cell-signaling research programs. The kit is validated for use with multiple human specimen types including tissue homogenates, cell lysates, saliva, and cell culture supernatants from activated immune cells, supporting diverse experimental designs. Each kit provides reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations using a standard ELISA workflow, with colorimetric signal measured on a standard microplate reader. The assay supports studies of monocyte, macrophage, and dendritic-cell biology, as well as downstream NF-kB and MAPK signaling cascades triggered by TLR2 engagement. All reagents are intended for research use only, and storage conditions are detailed in the product insert to preserve reagent activity across the shelf life of the kit.
