Human TNC/Tenascin C ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate detection of tenascin-C in human samples, this assay from Assay Genie uses a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is intended for research applications in cell biology. Tenascin-C is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, tissue remodeling, wound healing, and development, and abnormal levels have been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular disorders.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with the kit stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Dilution linearity and spike-and-recovery have been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. The protocol follows a six-step sandwich ELISA procedure: reagent and plate preparation; a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes; TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
