Human TMEM27 ELISA Kit (HUFI06051)

The Assay Genie TMEM27 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Transmembrane protein 27, also known as Collectrin, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed in pancreatic beta cells and kidney proximal tubule epithelial cells. TMEM27 modulates insulin exocytosis and amino acid transport through its interaction with the renal transporter SLC6A19.

This microplate immunoassay supports research into type 2 diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, and beta-cell biology. Investigators studying BACE2-mediated cleavage of TMEM27 and its downstream effect on glucose homeostasis can monitor circulating TMEM27 levels as an indicator of beta-cell stress and mass. The kit is also relevant for studies of renal tubular reabsorption and inherited aminoaciduria.

All assay components are supplied in individual vials with pre-coated microplate strips. Reconstituted standards and detection reagents should be aliquoted and stored frozen below -20 degrees C to limit repeated freeze-thaw exposure, while unopened kit components are kept refrigerated. The product is intended for in vitro research use only and is not validated for clinical diagnostic procedures.
