The Assay Genie Human TMEM175 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of transmembrane protein 175 (TMEM175), a lysosomal potassium channel implicated in endolysosomal ion homeostasis and increasingly studied in the context of Parkinson's disease and lysosomal storage disorders.

Built around a pre-coated microplate and a colorimetric sandwich immunoassay workflow, the assay accepts serum and plasma samples. Researchers typically load 100 uL of sample per well, with standards run in parallel to generate a calibration curve for interpolating TMEM175 concentrations.

TMEM175 forms a constitutively active K+ conductance across the lysosomal membrane, and altered expression or function of the channel has been reported in cellular models of neurodegeneration. Quantifying circulating or tissue-derived TMEM175 levels supports studies in autophagy, lysosomal biogenesis, and biomarker discovery workflows.
