The TMED4 target (Transmembrane Emp24 Protein Transport Domain Containing 4) is a single-pass transmembrane cargo receptor of the p24 family that shuttles nascent secretory and membrane proteins between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus, and is increasingly studied in innate immune signaling, cytokine trafficking, and the unfolded protein response.
