Human TLR5/Toll-like receptor 5 ELISA Kit

Designed for the measurement of human TLR5 (Toll-like receptor 5), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is a colorimetric, double-antibody immunoassay intended for immunology research. TLR5 is a key protein of the innate immune system that recognises bacterial flagellin, and dysregulation of TLR5 has been associated with various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for studies in those areas.

The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, with reagents stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. It has a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) is reported as 89–102% for serum, 93–105% for EDTA plasma and 89–105% for heparin plasma, and average recovery is reported at 97% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma.

The workflow uses a pre-coated plate, a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), with TMB substrate development and absorbance read at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
