Human Titin (TTN) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human titin (TTN), described in the manufacturer's datasheet as the largest known protein in the human body and a key component in the assembly and functioning of vertebrate striated muscles. Dysregulation of titin expression has been associated with muscular dystrophy and heart failure. Listed synonyms include connectin and rhabdomyosarcoma antigen MU-RMS-40.14.

The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, recognising both natural and recombinant human titin. The datasheet reports a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.138 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 6.2%. Linearity data are given for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery ranges of 97–109% (serum) and 99–111% (plasma) are quoted.
